Broderick’s Beanstalk Foundation
Some things never change. For us, that’s our resolve to give back and support worthy causes. So, to celebrate 50 years of charitable and community work, we’ve launched the Broderick’s Beanstalk Foundation.
The Beanstalk Foundation is all about giving others a helping hand – people who maybe haven’t been dealt the luckiest cards in life.
For every box of coffee Broderick’s sells, we’ve pledged to make a £1 donation to the Beanstalk Foundation, to create a fund that’s there to add a little magic where it matters in community life.
It could be anything from funding a day trip for a group of older people, to providing computing equipment for disabled children or helping Broderick’s customers or staff to get a charity fundraising initiative off the ground.
Broderick’s director Peter Broderick said: ‘’Helping others is at the very heart of our company’s approach. Since my father established the firm back in 1969 it has always been our way to give back and we’re proud to say that this outlook is shared by our Broderick’s team, who are involved in charity initiatives throughout the year.’’
Here are just some of the charitable initiatives near and far that we’ve been proud to put our name to recently:
Fire-fighting & flood support for local heroes
Broderick’s is there when it matters, providing sustenance to the people on the front line when our local community is hit by disaster. Not only did we deliver water and supplies to the north west fire and flood support teams, we supported the brave hospital teams the night of the Manchester bomb.
Protecting Tito the Turtle and friends
Combatting environmental threat is top of the agenda for us all. We’re constantly looking for ways to reduce our plastic footprint and we’ll be ahead of the curve in rolling out recycling vending machines – otherwise known as reverse vending – which accept used plastic bottles for recycling.
‘Appy days for local charities
From hosting a virtual coffee morning on our Pay 4 Vend app, in aid of Macmillan, to special edition Christmas Charity Cups that support Manchester Children’s Hospital, we love coming up with a great money-making idea for local causes close to our hearts.
